El Al plane’s malfunction briefly raises alert at Ben Gurion
Ben Gurion International Airport briefly goes on high alert, with ambulances on standby, in preparation for an emergency landing of an El Al plane carrying 200 passengers.
The 737 takes off from Ben Gurion for Paris, but is forced to turn back due to a malfunction in the pressurization system of the plane. Despite the initial declaration of a state of emergency at the airport, there does not appear to be any danger to the passengers and crew.
