First international flight lands at new Ramon Airport in Eilat
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe first international flight to the new Ramon Airport in Eilat is completed as a Ryanair plane that departed from Poznan, Poland, lands on its runway, the Israel Airport Authority says.
The airport was opened in January and is named after Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon and his son, IDF pilot Asaf Ramon, both of whom died in separate aviation accidents in 2003 and 2009, respectively.
