For the first time in 30 years, a secular student wins bible quiz

For the first time in over three decades, a secular Israeli student wins the International Bible Quiz.

Sagiv Lugasi, a teenager from the northern town of Ma’alot Tarshiha, wins the annual competition held every Independence Day in Jerusalem.

According to reports in Hebrew-language media, Lugasi’s win marks the first time a secular student wins the competition in over 30 years.
