German vice chancellor to arrive in Israel for talks

German Vice Chancellor and Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel is scheduled to arrive in Israel this evening for meetings with senior Israel officials.

He’ll meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday afternoon right before taking off again.

Gabriel, of the center-left SPD, was one of the first top European officials to visit Iran just days after the nuclear deal was signed earlier this summer.
