A heavy rocket barrage is fired at southern and central Israel.
Warning sirens sound in Ashdod and surrounding communities. Sirens also wail in Rehovot, Gan Shlomo and Kfar Bilu.
Reports of explosions are heard.
There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
