From Israel, NATO sign agreement to strengthen intelligence-sharing
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael and NATO recently signed a bilateral agreement aimed at protecting the exchange of classified intelligence, the organization announces.
The agreement was signed by Wendy Bashnan, the director of the NATO Office of Security, and senior defense ministry official Nir Ben Moshe two weeks ago in the ministry’s Tel Aviv headquarters.
“The Arrangements will facilitate the cooperation between NATO and Israel as they serve as common minimum standards to be applied to the protection of the classified information exchanged between the two parties,” the statement reads.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly expected to meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg during his upcoming trip to Brussels.
