Israeli drone strike kills elite Hezbollah operative

Emanuel (Mannie) Fabian is The Times of Israel's military correspondent

A member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force was killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon earlier today, the IDF says.

The military says the Radwan member was operating in the Deir Seryan area, and that his activities were a violation of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

Since a November 2024 ceasefire, the IDF has remained in several areas of Lebanon and says it has killed over 230 Hezbollah operatives in strikes in the country, saying they were violating the terms of the truce.
