Labor MK Yona calls for party primaries to replace Herzog
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleLabor MK Yossi Yona calls for the party to hold primaries as soon as possible in order to find a replacement for Herzog, whose efforts to join the coalition government have enraged many Labor lawmakers.
“Instead of dumping on his faction members, Herzog is asked to take responsibility for the resounding, embarrassing failure of his underhanded move,” he says, NRG reports.
According to Yona, “the next logical step is to set a date for party primaries, and allow members to decide who they want to stand at its head.”
