Netanyahu condemns Irish bill outlawing settlement goods
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemns a bill set to be voted on by the Irish senate tonight outlawing goods from West Bank settlements.
In a statement, his office says the legislation’s “sole purpose is to support the BDS movement and harm the State of Israel.” It says the bill gives backing to calls for Israel to be boycotted and “stands in complete contrast to the guiding principles of free trade and justice.”
The PMO also says Netanyahu ordered the Foreign Ministry to summon the Irish ambassador in Israel.
