Tlaib accuses Israel of ‘attack’ on Al-Aqsa, ‘forced population replacement’

Democrat Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, who is of Palestinian descent, accuses Israel of “attacking” the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount on Ramadan, in an affront to Muslims.

“This is equivalent to attacking the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for Christians, or the Temple Mount for Jews. Israel attacks it during Ramadan. Where’s the outrage, @POTUS,” she tweets.

She also calls for the US to condition aid to Israel — or end it altogether — over alleged human rights violations against Palestinians.

“330 (75%) of my colleagues, Ds&Rs, pledged not to condition the $billions we send to Israel’s army. Days later, the apartheid state resumed forced population replacement in #SheikhJarrah,” she says, referring to the legal dispute over houses in the East Jerusalem neighborhood that is being waged in Israeli courts.

“Now we see grenades, bullets, and tear gas shot into Al-Aqsa. American taxpayer money is being used to commit human rights violations. Congress must condition the aid we send to Israel, and end it altogether if those conditions are not followed. Statements aren’t working @SecBlinken. Enough is enough.”

Tlaib makes no mention of the massive Palestinian riots on the Temple Mount or the Jewish legal claims to the properties in Sheikh Jarrah that are being discussed in court.
