‘To defeat IS, have to end Syria war’ — Kerry
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on Google“To defeat Daesh, we have to end the war in Syria — and that is America’s goal,” says Kerry, using the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State.
The civil war is “four-and-a-half years of non-stop horror,” and “hell,” Kerry says.
He says Syria needs “a political transition that sidelines Assad.”
