Top Islamic scholar accused of rape held in Paris
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFrench police today detained prominent Swiss Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan, a legal source says, months after two women filed rape charges against him.
Ramadan was summoned for questioning to a Paris police station and taken into custody “as part of a preliminary inquiry in Paris into rape and assault allegations,” the source says, confirming a report by RTL radio.
