Trump campaign falsely declares victory in Pennsylvania

The Trump campaign falsely declares victory in Pennsylvania, even as it sues to stop remaining ballots from being counted in the state.

The campaign’s official Twitter account posts, “President Trump wins in Pennsylvania.”

White House Press Secretary also declares victory in the battleground state on her personal Twitter account. The social media company flags the post as misleading.

Trump himself falsely declared victory in the national election last night.

A little over 80% of Pennsylvania’s ballots remain to be counted, with the votes expected to heavily favor Democrats. Trump’s lead in the state is around six points, according to The New York Times.
