Young man hid from Kouachi brothers, helped police with texts

A brave 26-year-old graphic designer named Lilian helped provide police with information from inside a printing business in which the terrorist Kouachi brothers were holed up on Friday, AFP reports.

Lilian hid “under a sink in the canteen” upstairs, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins told reporters. Though the young man was terrified, a source said he overcame his fear and began communicating with police outside via text messages, sending them “tactical elements such as his location inside the premises.”

He could hear the suspects talking, which both helped reassure him and gave him more information to send to the forces poised outside, the source said.
