Police caught a man attempting to smuggle 32 cellphones into the country.

According to officers from Investigations Unit 747 at Ben Gurion International Airport, the suspect had taped the phones, both iPhones and Samsung smartphones, onto his body and had hoped to smuggle them in under his clothing.

The suspect is a 26-year-old Bat Yam resident.

He was returning from a visit to Amsterdam, according to the Ynet news site.

Police said on Tuesday the man had confessed to the smuggling attempt and the case was turned over to the customs authorities.
