Man stabbed in central Jerusalem park
Victim in serious condition at Hadassah Hospital; police suspect attack was nationalistically motivated

A man was repeatedly stabbed in central Jerusalem’s Liberty Bell Park Wednesday afternoon and taken to Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem in serious condition.
The victim, a man in his 50s, claimed he was attacked by an Arab in the park’s public restrooms. Eyewitnesses who spoke to the police corroborated the alleged attacker’s identity. The victim fled the scene in his car and attempted to drive himself to the hospital. Paramedics found him outside his vehicle on Kovshei Katamon Street. The man had lost significant amounts of blood. He was taken to Ein Kerem for treatment of stab wounds to the hands and back.
A police spokesperson reported that dozens of police officers on the ground and in a helicopter were searching the area for suspected perpetrator of the attack.
Authorities indicated they believed the stabbing was nationalistically motivated.

Around the same time Wednesday afternoon, an Arab man was stabbed and lightly injured outside the Old City’s Damascus Gate. According to Channel 2, the incident was a fight between family members. The police said the two incidents weren’t connected.
