Missiles shot at Israel from Gaza; no injuries
Explosion on Israeli side of the border follows two missiles earlier in the afternoon that failed to reach their target; terrorists says attacks in response to death of prisoner

A projectile fired from the Gaza Strip exploded inside Israel on Tuesday afternoon in the Eshkol Region, causing no injuries or damage.
The rocket was the third attack on Israel Tuesday. A terror group in Gaza said the attacks were revenge for the death of a Palestinian inmate earlier in the day.
According to Ynet, it was unclear if the missile was a Qassam rocket or a mortar bomb.
There were no reports of injury or damage from the attacks.
Earlier in the day, two missiles were fired from central Gaza at Israel.

Both rockets landed inside Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces said.
The Mujahadeen Shura Council took responsibility for the attacks, saying they were in response to the death of a Palestinian inmate Tuesday morning. The death of Maysara Abuhamdia of cancer sparked violence among Palestinian security prisoners and violence in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Rocket fire from Gaza has largely tailed off since the end of the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense against Hamas and other Gaza terror targets in November, but there have been sporadic attacks.
Two weeks ago, four rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza, likely timed to coincide with the visit of US President Barack Obama.
On Tuesday, parents and teachers found one of the rockets in the yard of a Sderot kindergarten, which had been on Passover break during the attack.
An rocket fired on Ashdod in February was also linked to the death of a Palestinian in Israeli custody.
