Palestinian arrested with knife near Tomb of the Patriarchs

Border Police officers at a checkpoint near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron arrested a Palestinian man in his twenties when he was discovered to be hiding a knife on his person, police said Friday.
The man, a resident of the divided West Bank city, was taken for interrogation by security forces.
The flashpoint city of Hebron, where Palestinians live in close proximity to settlers who are guarded by Israeli troops, has been the scene of numerous stabbings and attempted stabbings since a wave of attacks carried out by Palestinians began in October 2015.
