A Palestinian teen was killed and three others were severely injured by IDF fire on a group of Palestinians said to have been throwing firebombs in the central West Bank Thursday night.

According to the army, soldiers opened fire on the group after they exited a car and began hurling Molotov cocktails at the settlement of Eli, near Ramallah.

“Hits were confirmed. The vehicle then fled the scene,” the IDF said in a statement.

The Palestinian Ma’an news agency identified the fatality as Mohammed Mahmoud Ibrahim Hattab, 17.

A picture of Hattab holding what appeared to be an assault rifle appeared on social media.

Ma’an quoted Palestinian health ministry sources who said the three others were being treated in critical condition in a Ramallah hospital.

According to reports, all four were hit in the head and chest.
