Police arrested three men on Friday suspected of attempted armed robbery of the owner of Beitar Jerusalem soccer club at his Tel Aviv apartment.
Two men aged 36 and a 30-year-old were arrested by a patrol team who arrived at the home of Barak Abramov, police said in a statement.
They were set to attend a hearing Friday morning at the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court on the extension of their custody, police said.
According to a preliminary investigation by police, the suspects ambushed the club owner Abramov outside his building, forced him inside, then attempted to rob him at gunpoint.
It was unclear if Abramov suffered injuries in the attack.
