A car bomb shook the Nobel Prize Laureates neighborhood of Rishon Lezion on Monday, injuring three — two of them critically, and one moderately.
The intended target of the bomb appeared to have been the suspected senior underworld figure Baruch Bokel, who survived an attempt on his life only a few months ago.
The two other passengers who were wounded in the bombing were named as brothers Gaby and Baruch Falach.
After they received preliminary first aid at the scene of the attack, the injured were evacuated for treatment — two to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center and the third to Tel Hashomer Hospital.
The paramedics told Channel 2 that the wounded were fully conscious when taken to hospital and were mainly suffering from injuries to their limbs.
