Two Israelis indicted in Egypt over hotel brawl that injured six
Suspects remanded for four days, face charges of assault and destroying property during violent clash in Red Sea resort town of Taba
Two Israeli tourists were charged in Egypt on Monday over their part in a brawl at a hotel that injured six people.
According to media reports, the tourists were Arab Israelis from the north of the country.
Their remand has been extended by four days and they are being held under tight security at a Sinai facility, the report said.
They are accused of assaulting workers and destroying property at a hotel in the Red Sea resort town of Taba.
If convicted, they could face a heavy fine or even imprisonment, the report said.
According to the Israel Hayom daily, the Friday incident occurred at the Taba Hilton Hotel.

A video of the clash posted to social media showed over a dozen people milling about and trading blows amid shouting and screams from others. One man was hit in the head from behind and then collapsed on the ground while others rushed to help him.
According to media reports citing sources familiar with the incident, the Israelis refused to pay for alcohol and services they received.
Six people were hurt in the resulting altercation, some with stab wounds, and one hotel worker was reportedly seriously injured.
Three of those hurt were Israelis, according to Egyptian security sources. They were reportedly transferred to Israel for treatment.
There have been occasional attacks on Israelis in Egypt since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war last year.
One day after the war broke out, two Israeli tourists and their Egyptian guide were shot dead by a policeman in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, marking the first such attack on Israelis in Egypt in decades.
