Yair Netanyahu had his army detention shortened on Wednesday, and he’ll join his family for the holiday meal.

Two weeks ago, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was sentenced to 21 days of military detention, after he was found guilty of going AWOL for a few hours and lying to his commander.

After presenting his commanding officer a letter in which he expressed his regret and asked for forgiveness, the army decided to accept his plea and allow him to be at home for the seder.
