15-year-old arrested in shooting death of teen

Police on Saturday arrested a 15-year-old boy from Ilut on suspicion of accidentally shooting dead his friend while playing with a firearm.
The body of a 16-year-old boy from Ilut was found by hikers in the woods near the town outside Nazareth.

Initial police investigations found he died of a gunshot wound to the chest. Town residents’ testimonies led the police to the suspect, whose detention will be extended on Sunday in court.
The killing was the fourth in three days. An unknown assailant killed Ahmed Sakis in Jaffa on Friday night, another man died of a gunshot wound in Beit She’an on Thursday, and Hanoch Yassu beheaded his wife hours earlier in Beersheba.
