A man, 61, from the village of Deir al-Assad in the north was arrested on Wednesday morning for committing a sexual act in a public place after a video emerged showing him engaging in relations with a woman at a monument to fallen Israeli soldiers in nearby Carmiel.
The video, just over two minutes long, was uploaded to the Facebook page of a popular nighttime television show on Channel 10.
Police officers in Carmiel searched for the couple overnight, after the video was made public.
Their search led them to the suspect, a 61-year-old man from the village of Deir al-Assad near Carmiel, whom they arrested on charges of committing a sexual act in a public place.
The suspect was questioned on Wednesday and will be brought to the Acre Magistrate’s Court for a remand hearing.
