An El Al flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto was canceled late Monday after sparks flew from the plane’s wheels.

The 767 plane was already on the runway at Ben Gurion Airport when it was forced into an emergency halt, according to the Ynet news site.

Emergency crews rushed to the runway, putting out the sparks and washing down that part of the plane.

No one was hurt in the incident. Passengers were forced to wait on the plane until it was deemed safe to move it back to the terminal, where they disembarked.

There was no immediate report as to what caused the sparks.

The flight was co-operated with Spanish charter airline Privilege Style.
