Erdan and Edelstein’s new party unveils its name: ‘Unity’

Former Likud veterans Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein announce that “Unity” is the name of their new political party.

The right-wing party has vowed to make universal IDF service a cornerstone of their platform and promised to join only a broad consensus government, not a narrow government formed by either the pro-Netanyahu or anti-Netanyahu blocs.

Erdan announces the name at an event in Beit Shemesh, explaining that this is “not because we agree on everything, but because we have no other choice.”

“Unity is enlistment by everybody. Unity is common responsibility. Unity is our way, unity is our commitment, and unity is our name, and we will fight for it without compromise.”
