Explosion near IDF patrol on Gaza border

No injuries reported; Gaza terrorists to blame, says IDF spokesperson

An explosive device was detonated Friday near an IDF patrol jeep that was traveling close to the border fence with the Gaza Strip.

No soldiers were injured in the incident.

An IDF Spokesman said that the explosive device was likely detonated by a terrorist group while the army force took part in routine patrol activities.

Earlier this month, the IDF launched an airstrike on Gaza in response to rockets fired into southern Israel from the Strip. The air force targeted concealed rocket launchers in the strike and direct hits were confirmed.
