An Iraqi television series that satirizes the Islamic State terror group shows the group’s founder being born from the union of a Jewish woman and the devil.

An ad promoting the new series “The Superstitious State,” which was aired recently on Al-Iraqiyya TV and publicized online by the media-tracking service MEMRI, centers on the union between a red-clad devil, complete with pitchfork and horns, and a Jewish woman wearing a Star of David. Their offspring, an “ISIS-ling” who looks like Islamic State leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, hatches from an egg.

“Other characters in the cast include Sheikha Mozah, wife of the former Emir of Qatar, a gun-toting, grog-swigging American cowboy, the Joker from Batman, Dracula, and a character presumably representing Stalin. The promo was broadcast on the Iraqi TV channel on September 9, 2014, and is being shown several times a day since,” notes MEMRI.

The name of the satiric series, “The Superstitious State,” is a play on the words “khilafa” (“caliphate”) and “khirafa” (“superstition”).

“Lead me to the altar, oh sisters, with explosives belts and devices,” the Jewish woman sings in the video, as she is led dancing to the devil character.

“I hope to get a ring on my finger from someone who will destroy the country,” she says.

“We will call our child ISIS,” the devil sings. “Summon him. Tell him to slaughter people. Summon him. Tell him to toy a little with religion.”

The ad is explicit in mocking the Islamic State, which MEMRI refers to by the commonly-used name ISIS.

An IS fighter is heard declaiming, “We prohibit everything lewd, except for sex Jihad.”

There is a refrain calling out, “Oh beheader,” a reference to IS’s online videos of beheadings of Western journalists and aid workers, among other victims.

“We banned the smoking of cigarettes and drove out all the Christians,” the IS fighters sing. And in another line: “We defied the Lord, and we will circumcise all the women.”

The promo ends with the Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi character pulling out two pistols and shooting the entire cast, then blowing himself up.

“Soon on Al-Iraqiyya TV,” reads the final credit.
