Liberman gets wiggy as politicians play Purim dress-up
Defense minister’s costume pokes fun at character from Eretz Nehederet satire show

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman took the “v’Nahafoch Hu” (and it was reversed) Purim catchphrase quite seriously this year, dressing up as his impersonator on the Israeli satirical show Eretz Nehederet.
In a widely shared Sunday Facebook post of himself in costume, Liberman wrote, “Hi Assi. Regards from Shauli, ya’ani (Arabic slang for ‘so to speak’).”
Assi Cohen plays the defense minister on the Israeli comedy series, but Liberman decided to dress up as another of the actor’s characters on the show, Shauli.

The post was picked up by some Arab media sites, including the Gaza-based al-Safa news.
Also picked up was a post by Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid, which carried a simple “Happy Purim” message.
