Hadassah opens center for complex dental challenges, student training

The Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine has opened a center on its campus in the Ein Kerem neighborhood of Jerusalem to offer dental care for people with physical, cognitive, and complex medical challenges that will serve as a training ground for Hebrew University-Hadassah dental students, Hadassah Medical Organization announces.

The Schattner Oral Health Center will deliver multidisciplinary care to 30 to 40 patients each day in five specially designed treatment rooms, allowing dental students to learn how to care for patients with physical or cognitive challenges.

The center will provide “accessible and compassionate care to everyone who comes through its doors,” says Dr. Yoram Weiss, director general of the Hadassah Medical Organization.
