IDF cancels leave for combat soldiers in northern Israel
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Israel Defense Forces cancels leave for all combat soldiers serving along the northern border, amid a tense standoff with the Iran-backed group Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Combat troops are ordered to stay at their bases until further notice.
The directive comes after Israel accused Iran and Hezbollah of stepping up attempts to build missile-production facilities in Lebanon, warning that these efforts are putting Lebanon and its civilian population in danger.
