Jerusalem attacker a Hamas man freed by Israel
The Shin Bet security service identifies one of the attackers in today’s bus shooting attack in Jerusalem as a Hamas operative.
Majbel Machber, a 23-year-old from Jabel Mukaber in East Jerusalem, was imprisoned from 2013 to 2014 for his activities in the terror organization, the Shin Bet says.
He is undergoing interrogations.
A second attacker, a Fatah man, was killed by security forces at the scene. The Shin Bet identifies him as Baha Alian, also 23, also from Jabel Mukaber.
