Lapid slams Netanyahu for reportedly accepting Gaza truce
The chairman of the Yesh Atid party Yair Lapid accuses Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of abandoning residents of southern Israel by reportedly accepting an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with Hamas.
“Hamas gets to stop the fighting whenever it wants,” he says in a video message posted to Twitter. “Netanyahu convened his cabinet for 7 hours and at the end they decided to abandon the residents of southern Israel and surrender Israeli deterrence.”
