UNITED NATIONS — As usual, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming speech to the General Assembly — expected at 7:00 PM Israel time — comes relatively late in the game. On the fourth day, the most prominent speakers, such as US President Obama, Russian President Putin or Pope Francis, have already delivered the addresses and left New York.
But this year, some other important countries have their representatives take the podium after Netanyahu.
Malaysia, Germany, India, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia are among the nations that will speak after the Israeli leader. It will be particularly interesting to hear the remarks of Riyadh’s foreign minister, Adel Ahmed Al-Jubeir, since Netanyahu is expected to reference his country’s ostensible new alliance with the moderate Arab states in the wake of the Iran deal.
Right after delivering his speech, Netanyahu will conduct a short meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in his office. Later Thursday evening, he will meet with American Jewish leaders in his hotel.
On Friday, he is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry and World Economic Forum chairman Klaus Schwab.

We can't do this work alone.
The war with Iran has been draining for all of us in Israel. But when I heard about a high casualty incident – ballistic missile impacts in Arad and Dimona that left nearly 200 people wounded – I drank a cup of coffee, packed a bag, and headed south.
There, I spoke with Shilgit, the head of an after-school program for underprivileged youth. Standing outside her destroyed center, Shilgit said it was a miracle that no children were hurt and spoke about the community coming together in the hours since.
As a Times of Israel reporter, I’m committed to telling stories of resilience like Shilgit’s. But my colleagues and I can't do this alone.
