Regev: With or without UNESCO, Jews will visit Temple Mount
Culture Minister Miri Regev joins other Israeli politicians in condemning the UNESCO resolution on the Temple Mount, vowing that Jews will visit the site regardless.
“If this is the UNESCO standard, all declared World Heritage Sites should be measured by it. The choice of the baseless and false Palestinian narrative, given the historical facts, puts UNESCO in a ridiculous light,” she says.
“With or without UNESCO, the Temple Mount was and will remain the holiest site to the Jewish people, which Jews from around the world will ascend on the Sukkot holiday next week, as we do every year, and as we did thousands of years ago in [the time of] the first and second temples.”
