Report into pride parade stabbings calls for heads to roll

An internal police probe into failings that led to a fatal stabbing attack on the Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade calls for the Jerusalem police chief to be reprimanded and a number of other top officials to be suspended, according to reports.

The results of the report were turned into the police and other relevant authorities Sunday, but officials say it will not be released until all parties have had a chance to see and study the findings.

During the July parade, Yishai Schlissel was able to stab six people, killing 16-year-old Shira Banki. Schlissel managed to infiltrate the parade despite having just been released from prison weeks earlier for stabbing three people at a Jerusalem pride parade a decade earlier.

The parade was also supposed to take place under heavy police guard.
