Soldier jailed for selling stolen grenades
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAn IDF soldier is sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for smuggling stun grenades and smoke grenades from his base and selling them for NIS 250 ($65) apiece.
The soldier is also fined NIS 5,000 ($1,300), with the option of serving an additional five months instead of paying the fine, and is demoted.
According to the indictment, the soldier would steal some 8-10 grenades every few weeks over the course of a year and a half, amassing in total some 300 grenades.
