“We do want to see if we can straighten out the Lebanon thing,” US President Donald Trump says.

“It just seems to never end,” Trump tells reporters while in Versailles for a G7 summit.

“Hezbollah, we have to have a little talk with them,” Trump adds, notably not specifying that he wants to have a talk with Israel.

Trump lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the weekend for strikes in Beirut that the US president said risked the deal with Iran.

The MOU is said to extend the Iran ceasefire to Lebanon, though Israel has insisted that it will continue operating against Hezbollah.
