A man around the age of 50 was found dead in the southern town of Netivot on Wednesday in an apparent murder.
The Magen David Adom emergency services organization said it had found the man in a residential building after receiving a call about the incident.
The man had “penetration injuries,” no signs of life, and was declared dead at the scene, MDA said. Hebrew media reports said he had been shot to death.
“They led us to the wounded man who was lying in the stairwell of a residential building,” one of the medics said.
“We carried out medical checks on him, but he had no vital signs, and we had no choice but to declare his death on the spot.”
