New arrests, new information in India bomb probe
The Indian Express: Police investigating phone calls, have made arrests connected to New Delhi explosion

Indian police are investigating security camera footage and phone calls made from the area near the Israeli Embassy, after carrying out several overnight arrests related to the bombing attack that wounded the wife of an Israeli embassy official.
According to The Indian Express, police in New Delhi reported Thursday morning that they are looking into four international phone calls made to Iran, Lebanon and Pakistan from the Khan Market area, located very close to the Israeli Embassy. In addition, the New Delhi police conducted several overnight raids on Wednesday and arrested five suspects in connection to the bombing.
The police have also identified a red motorcycle that they believe was used in the attack, according to media sources. The motorcycle was allegedly used to stick the 250-300 gram bomb on the Israeli Embassy vehicle.
The Indian news site Zeenews.com reported that the investigators were looking into a theory that the bomber was an Indian hired to carry out the attack on behalf of a terror organization, and that the bomb was locally made.
Israeli Ambassador to Thailand Itzhak Shoham told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he believed that the attacks in New Delhi were linked to two others in recent days. “They are similar to the ones used in Delhi and in Tbilisi, ” Shoham said. “From that we can assume that there is the same network of terror.”
Indian police, despite these developments, refused to point an accusatory finger at Iran. Israel has accused Iran of commissioning the attack.
