Palestinians hurl stones at IDF soldiers in West Bank

Six said hurt in clashes; separately, security forces seize pistol, ammunition during raid in village of Katana

Dozens of Palestinians hurled stones late Thursday night at IDF soldiers during a military operation in the West Bank village of Beit Rima.

The Israeli forces used riot control measures to disperse the rock throwers.

According to reports in Palestinian media, six rioters were injured in the clashes.

No Israelis were reported injured in the incident.

Also Thursday, security forces seized a pistol and ammunition during a raid in the Palestinian village of Katana. A local resident suspected of owning the pistol was arrested and taken to a nearby security facility for questioning.
