Speaking at the G7 summit in France, US President Donald Trump warns that “all hell will rain down” on Iran if it attempts to develop, purchase, or otherwise acquire a nuclear weapon, as he discusses an interim agreement between Washington and Tehran, which US Vice President JD Vance said was digitally signed by both sides earlier this week, to end their war.
“They’re not going to acquire a nuclear weapon. If they do, all hell will rain down on them,” Trump says.
He adds that the preliminary deal “says it loud and clear. They’re not going to develop it. They’re not going to buy it. They’re not going to do anything with it. And if they do, they suffer unbelievable consequences.”
He says that he only agreed to sign the document after Tehran agreed to adjust the wording so that it prevented them not only from developing a nuclear weapon but also from purchasing one or acquiring it through some other means.
