Ivanka’s daughter serenades China’s leader in Mandarin

Trump’s, 5-year-old granddaughter Arabella, accompanied by brother Joseph, 3, perform for visiting Premier Xi Jinping

US President Donald Trump pulled out all the stops to charm visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago resort — including having two of his grandchildren, Arabella and Joseph Kushner, serenade the Chinese leader in Mandarin.

Arabella, 5, and Joseph, 3, who are Jewish, are the children of Trump’s daughter Ivanka and Jared Kushner.

“Very proud of Arabella and Joseph for their performance in honor of President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan’s official visit to the US!,” Ivanka Trump tweeted.

According to the Chinese state-run news agency Xinhua, Arabella, accompanied by her little brother, sang the traditional Chinese song, Mo Li Hua (or Jasmine Flower), and recited the Three Character Classic.

The Three Character Classic, known as “san zi jing” in Chinese, is a Confucian classic text used to teach young children in China, the South China Morning Post reported.

Arabella also recited two poems by Tang dynasty (618-907 AD) poet Li Bai for Xi and Peng, the reports said.

Arabella has reportedly been learning Chinese since she was a very small child, taught by a Chinese nanny.
