Police arrested a 45-year-old Ra’anana man on Saturday after he was caught asleep in a house he’d broken into.

According to reports in the Israeli media, the homeowner returned to find a strange person sleeping heavily in his bed. Alongside the slumbering suspected burglar was a lock picking tool.

The homeowner called the police, who woke the man up. On awakening, the suspected burglar asked the police for a cigarette, according to Israel Radio.

The suspect was arrested on the spot pending investigation, and was to be brought before a judge Saturday evening.
