In response to the attack, the Air Force fired at a weapons manufacturing site and a tunnel in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF Spokesperson said that the targets were precisely identified and all planes had returned safely to their bases.
The rocket attack came a day after Israeli planes struck a number of targets within the Gaza strip, injuring seven people.
The Israel Defense Forces said the sortie was in response to a gunbattle on Friday that left dead an IDF soldier and Palestinian who crossed the Gaza fence into Israel.
