6 killed, several seriously injured in car accidents across Israel

Tuesday’s death toll brings total number of people killed in car crashes in 2018 to 32

Six people were killed Tuesday and several others were seriously injured in traffic accidents across Israel.

Two people were killed in a head-on collision near the northern city of Nahariya. Two others were seriously injured.

An 8-year-old boy was killed in the settlement of Modi’in Illit after being hit by a car.

A 25-year-old cyclist was killed in Tel Aviv after being hit by a truck on the city’s Rokach Boulevard.

Another man, 70, was killed in a collision on a highway near the southern town of Kiryat Gat. A 60-year-old man was seriously injured.

In the northern Galilee, a 16-year-old was killed after his all-terrain vehicle slammed into a pole and overturned.

At least four more people were lightly hurt in accidents Tuesday.

Since the beginning of the year 32 people have been killed in traffic accidents. A total of 362 people died on Israel’s roads last year.
