It’s tribute time for the music of the sixties and seventies, as two productions offer a look — and listen — back in time.

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is hosting a series of performances in September, celebrating the legendary music of rock ’n roll, including that of The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, and Queen.

Wednesday September 6, brings the Transistor Band covering Arik Einstein at 8:30 p.m. and the Magical Mystery Band playing the Beatles at 10:30 p.m.

The next day, September 7, offers Shai Tochner and friends playing Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen at 8:30 p.m., and Ummagumma playing Pink Floyd at 10:30 p.m.

On Friday night, September 8, Mony Arnon and Rani Mishan will play Simon and Garfunkel tunes at 9 p.m. and Rockwell will follow with Queen covers at 11 p.m.

Tickets for one night cost NIS 170 if purchased now, and NIS 210 after the initial sales. Tickets to all three shows cost NSI 450 now, and NIS 550 when purchased closer to the event.

If you need more of a Simon and Garfunkel fix, the UK production of “The Simon and Garfunkel Story,” a 50th anniversary celebration of the folk-singing duo, arrives in Israel on September 13-18.

The stage production includes original film footage and projected photos of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel’s early years, accompanied by a full, live band performing all the duo’s hits.

The production will travel through Israel with performances in Jerusalem, Kiryat Motzkin, Cinema City Glilot, Airport City and Rishon Lezion.

Tickets cost NIS 204 and are available online.
