Brazilian-born Israeli architect David Resnick, who designed Hebrew University’s Mount Scopus campus, Ben-Gurion University and the Kennedy Memorial, died Sunday at age 88.
Resnick was awarded the Israel Prize for architecture in 1995. He was also inducted into the American Institute of Architects in 2006 as an honorary member.

His works in Israel include the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jerusalem, the Antiquities Museum in Hatzor and the Israel National Academy of Sciences building, also in the capital.
Resnick was born in Rio de Janeiro and raised in a secular Zionist household. He met his wife, Rachel, through the Hashomer Hatzair youth organization, and the two immigrated to Israel in 1949.
His funeral was scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday at Jerusalem’s Givat Shaul cemetery.
