Billboard ridicules Trump’s fear of Islam

An Arabic-language billboard has been placed on a highway near one of America’s largest Muslim communities, mocking Donald Trump’s perceived fear of Islam.
The ominous-looking billboard, which was posted over the weekend near Dearborn, Michigan, is all black except for a line of Arabic script and Trump’s name in English. It proclaims: “Donald Trump can’t read this, but he’s scared of it.”
The billboard was placed by The Nuisance Committee, an anti-Trump super-PAC that has been behind the satiric Cards Against Humanity game, several other provocative billboards, and a campaign film narrated by “Star Trek” star George Takei comparing Trump’s policies for Muslims to the internment of ethnic Japanese in camps during World War II.
Melissa Harris, a spokesperson for the group, said Dearborn was chosen because it has one of the largest Arab-American communities in the US.

“We came up with it because we believe that Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric is not based on reality. It’s based in fear,” Harris told the Detroit Free Press. “And we think that irrational fear is what’s driving his anti-immigrant message.”
Trump has at times called for a temporary ban, or some sort of extreme profiling, for Muslims entering the United States. The Republican presidential candidate has several times listed Israeli techniques as an example of the kind of profiling he would like to see.
